Biography

Jennifer Calzada, MA, MPH, is a 17 year veteran of marketing and business development. After 8 years at advertising agencies, she moved on to the ad sales division of Cox Communications and eventually became a Regional Director at Cox Media, where she helped the corporate marketing team win numerous national awards. She has led the Tulane Sim Center as the Sim Center Director since it's inception in January 2009. She has helped establish the Tulane Sim Center as an efficient and effective operation for the School of Medicine and worked with the greater healthcare community to bring the benefits of high-fidelity simulation training to their systems to reduce medical error and ultimately increase patient safety.

Jennifer has been a TeamSTEPPS Master Trainer since 2010, is a frequent speaker at national conferences, and currently holds various national positions in the medical education field, including, Vice Chair of Finance and Audit Committee for the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH), accreditation site reviewer for SSH, and Co-Chair of Administration and Management Committee for the American College of Surgeons Accredited Education Institutes Consortium.
